The responsible body in terms of the data protection laws is:

EEF - equal education fund

E-Mail: info@equaleducationfund.ch

The EEF does not share your data with outside persons or organisations and does not sell them for commercial purposes. We manage the data of our donors ourselves in our own database and treat it with the utmost confidentiality. We process and store personal data for as long as it is necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations or for the processing of the purposes pursued. If your personal data is no longer required or if our service has ended, your data will be regularly deleted or inactivated – if technically possible.

Personal data primarily includes name and contact details as well as data that we receive from our members, donors and business partners in the course of our business relations with them and other persons involved with them. Where permitted, we also take certain data from publicly accessible sources (e.g. commercial register, press, Internet, etc.).

General information

We treat your personal data with confidentiality and in accordance with this data protection declaration and other legal data protection regulations. In cooperation with our hosting providers, we make every effort to protect our database against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or forgery.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps and a complete protection of data against access by third parties is not fully possible.

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. Data such as pages or the name of a file called up, date and time are stripped of personal details and stored on the server anonymously for statistical purposes. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the contents of websites requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimise our Internet presence and the technology behind it.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. These are small text files that make it possible to store specific information relating to the user on the user's terminal device while he or she is using the website. Cookies make it possible, in particular, to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of the pages, to analyse the behaviour of page use, but also to make our offer more customer-friendly. Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. With the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable the correct display of our websites. Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent. Cookies remain stored at the end of a browser session and can be called up again when you visit the site again. However, you can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via the settings of your browser. Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how to change these settings.

SSL encryption

In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use the state-of-the-art SSL encryption method via HTTPS. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Contact form

If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions.

Google Analytics and Google Maps

This website does not use Google Analytics and Google Maps.

Embedded YouTube videos

On some of our websites we embed Youtube videos. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection is established to Youtube servers. This tells Youtube which pages you visit. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, Youtube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account before.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour. If you have disabled cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not be able to expect to receive cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Further information on the handling of user data can be found in the YouTube privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
